UK stock · Leicester. This is the HP t530 whole-lot fleet package: 97 brand-new, sealed units supplied together for GBP 1,500 ex-VAT — averaging about GBP 15.46 per unit. The lot is documented as a single product line and is not split; it is supplied complete, trade only, separately from the JCC lighting parcel.

§ I   The fleet case

Why a call-centre floor wants thin clients — and wants them identical.

A call-centre seat does not need a workstation-class PC. The actual workload — a browser-based CRM, a softphone or dialler, a knowledge base, maybe a hosted desktop session — runs on the server or in the cloud; the box on the desk only has to display it, connect the headset and stay out of the way. That is precisely the job the thin client was designed for, and it is why buying full desktop PCs for agent seats means paying for local horsepower the workflow never touches. The honest boundary runs the other way too: a thin client is not the machine for heavy local workloads like media editing or on-device number-crunching. For VDI, cloud-desktop and browser-based work — which is to say, for a modern call-centre floor — it is the right-sized tool.

The HP t530 fits the seat well. Each unit runs Windows 10 IoT Enterprise for Thin Clients 64 — the locked-down, centrally manageable edition IT teams standardise on for exactly this kind of estate — on an AMD GX-215JJ dual-core APU with integrated Radeon R2E graphics, 4GB of DDR4-1866 and onboard flash storage. The rear panel carries two DisplayPort outputs, so the classic agent setup of CRM on one screen and softphone or knowledge base on the other needs no adapters, plus Gigabit Ethernet, VGA for any older display you already own, and four USB ports; the front adds USB-C, USB-A and a headset jack where an agent actually plugs a headset in. And the whole unit is fanless — solid-state, low-power thin-client-class hardware with no fan noise to multiply by ninety-seven across an open floor where every microphone matters.

The number that matters most here is not a spec: it is identical, times ninety-seven. A fleet built from one sealed SKU means one OS image, one driver set, one management profile and one spare-parts answer. When a unit fails, you swap in another identical box and the agent logs back into their session; when you onboard ten agents, you image ten boxes the same afternoon. Mixed-fleet IT support — the usual fate of a startup buying desktops in dribs and drabs — is the hidden cost this lot deletes. Because the units are brand-new and sealed rather than refurbished, there is no cosmetic grading, no unknown history and no data-wipe liability: every seat starts from the same factory state.

Then the arithmetic. The lot is GBP 1,500 ex-VAT for all 97 units — averaging about £15.46 a seat for the endpoint hardware of an entire floor. For a startup call centre, an outsourcer standing up a new campaign, a charity phone room or any cost-conscious business moving its team onto hosted desktops, that puts the desktop line of the budget close to a rounding error and leaves the capital where it earns more: headsets, screens, telephony and people. UK supply adds VAT at the standard rate, reclaimable by VAT-registered buyers.

The practical shape of the deal: the lot is held ex-warehouse Leicester and supplied complete — 97 units, one collection, one invoice. If your floor plan seats fewer than ninety-seven, the surplus units are your spares shelf and your growth headroom in the same box they arrived in; sealed, uniform stock also stays straightforward to sell on if you overbought. Specification documentation and photographs are supplied before any commitment, and the full product detail is on the HP t530 specification page.
