§ II   About this stock

Discontinued JCC Mainline track spotlight — Hi-Spot 63 75W, supplied lamp-inclusive.

The JCC JC14040 is a Mainline mains-voltage track spotlight supplied on its stem and complete with a Hi-Spot 63 75W GU10 lamp. The Hi-Spot 63 is a classic reflector lamp with a tight, controlled beam — the reason this combination has been a workhorse of retail and display lighting for years. Riding a continuous mains track, each head is angled onto stock, signage or an architectural feature; the 75W Hi-Spot delivers real punch and sparkle on the target. This is discontinued, ex-distribution surplus: the fitting is off JCC’s current list, so the 73 units documented here are a finite closeout rather than a re-orderable line.

The stock is genuine new-old-stock (NOS) — 73 unused units carried over from JCC distribution and photographed against their box labels for the buyer pack. Each fitting measures roughly 45.5 × 8 × 8 cm, reflecting the stem, and weighs about 0.6 kg. Each is supplied complete with its original Hi-Spot 63 75W GU10 lamp. As pre-2015 UK stock, placed on the market before the September 2021 mains-halogen cutoff, it is lawful sell-through of existing stock: the Ecodesign lamp rules restrict what may be newly placed on the market, not the onward sale of stock already lawfully in the supply chain. Where a buyer prefers, the GU10 lamp swaps directly for an LED GU10, giving the same fitting a low-energy running cost with no change to the housing.

For the trade, the JC14040 is an unusually easy line to position because it arrives as a finished, working spotlight — head, stem and lamp together. A wholesaler or contractor can list it as an installable track spotlight straight out of the box, or reframe it as a low-energy retrofit by pairing it with LED GU10 lamps for retail-refit, facilities and refurbishment clients. The 75W Hi-Spot output level also gives it a clear application story: it is a display-grade accent spotlight, not a general-purpose fitting, which helps it sit in front of the buyers who specifically want punch on merchandise.

As a discontinued line it also carries a specification-matching benefit. Where a site already runs JCC Mainline track and needs matched heads for a repair or extension, the genuine JCC fitting seats and connects correctly where a generic spotlight will not. A maintenance stockholder able to supply the correct Mainline head with a Hi-Spot 63 lamp is meeting a specific, low-competition demand rather than fighting on price in the open spotlight market.

Commercially, the JC14040 is offered as UK surplus / liquidation stock for trade and resale only. It is not sold as a stand-alone line: it forms part of Austral Prime's JCC commercial lighting whole-lot bulk package — roughly 8,585 units across fittings, infrastructure and architectural hardware, supplied as a single lot for GBP 8,500 (ex-VAT) ex-warehouse Leicester. The whole-lot structure lets one buyer take the entire discontinued JCC range at clearance economics and then place the individual lines — track spotlights, downlights, ceiling plates, connectors — into their own retail, maintenance, refurbishment or export channels at trade margin. UK supply is subject to VAT at the standard rate (reclaimable by VAT-registered buyers); exports removed from the UK may be zero-rated on valid evidence.

The buyers who move stock like this are electrical wholesalers and factors, lighting contractors and shopfitters, JCC-system maintenance specialists, pallet and job-lot liquidation traders, and export resellers shipping into the EU or Australian markets, where mains track spotlighting is a mainstream commercial format. A complete lamp-inclusive spotlight lists well against searches such as ‘Hi-Spot 63 track spotlight’ or ‘discontinued JCC Mainline spotlight’, and moves quickly through trade counters and online job-lots.

It helps a reseller to understand who actually specifies a 75W Hi-Spot. This is display-grade output, chosen where a merchant wants merchandise to visibly out-shine the ambient light — jewellery counters, wine and spirits displays, delicatessen and bakery cabinets, boutique window schemes. Those buyers care about beam punch and colour, not about the lowest possible wattage, which is why a complete, ready-aimed Hi-Spot head still has a live market even in an LED era. Seventy-three matched units is a genuine fit-out quantity: enough to relight a whole store’s worth of track from a single line, delivered together, in one finish. Paired with the option to drop in an LED GU10 for the running-cost-conscious client, the JC14040 gives a reseller two clear pitches from one holding — authentic display halogen for the purist, or an LED-ready track spotlight for the pragmatist — both at clearance economics.
